Mrs. McGuire's Class

McGuire's class will complete Lessons 5, 6, and 7.  Lessons 1-3 were completed in class and we'll come back to Lesson 4 when we return to school.  You are allowed to work with other classmates for Lessons 5 and 6 via video.  Have your designated notetaker write all of your names on the papers (groups of four or less), take a pic or scan it, and send it to me via Edsby for a grade.  There will be an end of unit test for Elly so it's highly recommended that all group members read the book versus dividing the assignments. This will also come in handy when we view the movie "The Diary of Anne Frank" and compare their lives. I will check Edsby regularly if there are part you are unsure of or need clarification.

HUman Rights: Past, Present, and future

Lesson 1: Where Do you Stand?

Download and print the ANTICIPATION GUIDE.  Take a moment to read each statement and determine your stance. Decide if you feel the statement is valid in EVERY case, MOST cases or SOME cases. Then explain your reasoning in the last column.  There is no right or wrong answer.  This is based on your opinion which is often influenced by your family, friends, school, religious beliefs, etc. In class, you'll be matched with three other students to discuss each statement.
